Church Planter Assessment
The three stages of our assessment strategically qualify planters who are suited to our tribe and committed to a certain kind of church, a certain kind of leader, a certain kind of church planting process, and relating in a certain kind of way.
Assessment 1: Character
Alignment to God’s word, having mature and proven godly character, calling, and convictions; strong emotional, marital, and relational health.
Assessment 2: Compatibility
Agreement with VM core convictions, commitments, and conduct; able to apply ministry philosophy and methods consistent with who we are and what we believe.
Assessment 3: Competency
Skilled in the study, teaching, preaching, and defense of God’s word; can disciple, shepherd, and rally people to start something new with vision; leads with high capability, urgency, and intensity; entrepreneurial.
